Briarlake Elementary School conducted an event called Hug Our School in support of No Place For Hate and to show the reiteration of how we embrace each other and our school. The event was to call attention to showing kindness, respect, care and love for ourselves and each other. We discussed self-image, respect, bullying, cyber communications and school safety among other things. Fifth grade students also engaged in a peaceful demonstration as well.
