Teacher and ESP of the Year
Mrs. Stephanie Spencer is the Briarlake Teacher of the Year.  She is currently a 4th grade teacher. She has been at Briarlake for 17 years and has been a teacher for 27 years. Mrs. Spencer enjoys reading and working in the garden. She has created and continues to help maintain many gardens on the Briarlake campus. Mrs. Spencer brings her love of science and the outdoors into her classroom every day. Gardening with her students year-round and using the gardens to follow the migration of the monarch butterfly are two of her favorite activities at school. She supports the school in many areas such as serving as the ELA representative, by serving on the STEM committee and sponsoring the Environmental Club.

Mrs. Aaron is the Briarlake Education Support Professional of the Year.  She has been at Briarlake for a really, really long time.  Mrs. Aaron started volunteering at Briarlake when her three children were students here.  While her children were young, she served in many capacities including chairing the PTA Hospitality committee for many years, planning, cooking and serving hundreds of Fall Festival meals, working as Co-President of the PTA, and many more roles. She has worked as the Pre-K para, a kindergarten para, and currently works as a Special Education para.  Mrs. Aaron can always be found helping out around Briarlake.

Congratulations to our fantastic staff members of the year!
